KYFA's MISSION-To establish and strengthen capacities for youth football by organizing competitions and building socio-economic capacities of her members through technical and life skills training.
KYFA is a sports-for-development organization that uses football as a tool for social change. In addition to running structured leagues for 3,000 youth between the ages of 8 and 18, KYFA involves the players, coaches, and referees in numerous technical and life skills trainings programmes. These programmes include a Peer Education programme for team captains, a Girls' Mentorship programme for 20 teams, an advocacy programme for children with mental disabilities, and a new project with Dutch partners bridging football with water, sanitation, and hygiene training.
