FAQ and Terms and Conditions

• An anonymous donor has generously provided matching funds for new recurring donations on GlobalGiving. This matching offer is valid while these funds remain.
• The purpose of this anonymous donation is to get as many new donors to sign up for recurring monthly giving as possible. The hope is to provide many projects on GlobalGiving with a reliable and sustainable source of funds in the form of monthly recurring donations that they can use to plan programs, create budgets, and expand services.
• Donations will be matched 1-to-1 if on a given day 75% of donors who see this offer upgrade to a monthly recurring donation. GlobalGiving may also choose to match recurring donations that are made on days when the 75% of donors do not upgrade if sufficient funds are available.
• New recurring donations created on GlobalGiving.org will be matched 1-to-1 up to $200 per donor per project. Eligible recurring donations of $201 or larger will be matched at $200.
• To be eligible for matching, the recurring donation must last for at least three months and have both an initial donation as well as at least three automatic recurring donations.
• Recurring donations that are cancelled after the initial donation but prior to the third automatic recurring donation are not eligible for matching.
• Recurring donations made by project leaders or staff of the recipient project or organization are not eligible for matching.
• Only recurring donations created on GlobalGiving.org are eligible for this matching offer.
• This is a one-time matching donation to the project. It is not an repeating monthly match.
• GlobalGiving will monitor and review all donations made through this matching offer. GlobalGiving hopes to match as many recurring donations as possible, but please note that to uphold the spirit of this matching offer GlobalGiving maintains the right to make a final decision on all matters concerning the allocation of matching funds. We reserve the right to prevent abuse of this offer and may update the terms and conditions to ensure that as many projects and donors are able to benefit as possible.
