Mission

WildEarth Guardians protects and restores wildlife, wild rivers, and wild places in the American West.

Programs

WG's eight primary campaigns are Clean Water, Wild Forests (protecting roadless forests), Nature’s Engineers (protecting prairie dogs), Fleecing Fossil Fuels (showing the true cost of coal), Renew New Mexico (supporting renewable energy), End the War on Wildlife (deauthorizing federally sanctioned killing), Sagebrush Sea (protecting that ecosystem), Wolves and Wilderness (protecting and restoring wolves to the Southern Rockies), American’s First Wilderness (expanding the Gila Wilderness).

Personnel Overview

Rob Edwards - Carnivore Restoration Director
Rob has worked on the restoration and protection of wolves and other carnivores since 1994. In his present capacity, he oversees the scientific, political and public policy aspects of WildEarth Guardians efforts to restore wolves, grizzly bears, lynx, wolverine and other large carnivores to the American West. A native of Idaho, Rob has spent over a decade working on conservation issues.

Melissa Hailey - Staff Attorney
Melissa Hailey is WildEarth Guardians' Staff Attorney. She holds a bachelor's degree in Ecology, Evolution, and Conservation Biology from the University of Denver and a juris doctorate from Seattle University School of Law. Before attending law school, Melissa was employed in the natural sciences doing both field and laboratory work.
