WomensTrust empowers impoverished women and girls with the tools they need to break the cycle of poverty and build a better future for themselves, their families and communities, and the world. We do this by providing access to education, healthcare and economic development.
Women and girls are held back in Ghana at every level of society. Primary school drop out and illiteracy rates are much higher for girls due to community and familial pressures, improper sanitation at schools, and lack of funds. The health of women and girls also suffers due to their status in the role of the family.
WomensTrust provides scholarships to girls from primary to tertiary education, as well as providing them with the resources they need to excel while there. We also offer women's health screenings and adult literacy and math education , as well as capitol to local entrepreneurs.
WomensTrust empowers disadvantaged women and girls to sustain their climb out of poverty. By keeping women and girls healthy, educated and provided with the tools they need for success, we are changing their communities for decades to come.
