PFECT provides educational opportunities to those to whom it has been denied due to poverty, family circumstances or oppression. We work in some of the poorest areas of India in the State of Bihar, and with some of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged communities such as homeless and Street children through our Rescue Junction Project. If Bihar was a country it would be the 12th most populous in the world and the 6th most poor.
PFECT runs a Health project, women sewing centres,village schools and Rescue Junction serving thousands of children from disadvantaged communities who live in desperate poverty. But our appeal on Global Giving is for Rescue Junction exclusively so we can continue to provide shelter care and education to children who have nowhere else to go. Over 850 children have been through the doors o the project. We need to keep them open.
