Create/Connect 2

Thank you again for your continued support of Global Health Bridge. We're pleased to provide an update on our project as well as a great event happening in NYC on Thursday.

After an exciting launch, Global Health Bridge has been hard at work to expand our services and get more of our team members to the field. One of our team members applied for a Fulbright fellowship to dedicate her time working on Global Health Bridge in Bangladesh, and another team member who is trying to arrange for her Masters of Public Health internship to be in India to help partner with more NGOs and improve our Maternal Health Reporter.

Based on our experience in Jamkhed, India so far, we are also taking our lessons from our pilot project to improve our Maternal Health Reporter to make it more efficient for Community Health Workers.  We are continuing to finetune the IVR (voice recognition) system so it's easier to input health data. Additionally, we have some exciting new applications of our project that we'll announce soon. We hope that some of our new, innovative ideas will make a big impact in the field, and we're excited to continue exploring new ways to improve maternal health using cell phones!

We're excited to announce another fundraiser event in the New York City area. Last year we hosted an incredible event, and this year we're looking forward to an even greater success. Now, with the GlobalGiving platform, you can buy a ticket to the event ($15 early bird ticket) or on site. Please see below for more information.
