Project Report | Feb 19, 2019
February 2019

By Jake Gillanders | Executive Director

Happy New Year! Since our last report, we've remained focused on expanding and improving our capabilities to respond here at home, as well helping other communities become more prepared. Since our last report, we've:

  • Partnered with an outside agency to help bring emergency communications to regions of Indonesia;
  • Initiated our water and flood rescue program;
  • Been awarded a grant from Ford Motor company for a new response vehicle;
  • Brought personal and community preparedness training to dozens of citizens of the PNW region;
  • Continued the training of a brand new disaster search canine, Libby;

In the coming months, we'll be continuing our push for disaster preparedness and rescuer training by:

  • Purchasing two new response vehicles;
  • Delivering our annual Rescue Systems 1 course to regional firefighters and other emergency responders;
  • Developing our incident command course;
  • Developing three exciting new rescue courses and two medical courses.

All of this is possible because of your contributions! We couldn't be more grateful.  Thank you for your ongoing support!
