Donna Baranski-Walker - Executive Director, Rebuilding Alliance

In 1990, Donna wrote a NY Times op-ed describing a way to end the then stand-off with Iraq without war which was translated into Arabic and presented to the Iraqi Women’s Federation. She’s been working to link good neighbors for peace ever since. Her proposal connecting teachers brought her to Israel, Palestine, and Jordan. Donna is an engineer, graduate of M.I.T. and the University of Hawaii.

Hussam El Nounou - Public Relations Coordinator, GCMHP

Mr. Hussam El Nounou is part of the founding team of the Gaza Community Mental Health Programme (GCMHP) along with Dr Eyad El Sarraj. GCMHP is the Palestinian NGO that partners with the Rebuilding Alliance in the Rachel Corrie Rebuilding Campaign in Gaza. He deeply believes in peace & coexistence and sees this as a human rights issue, one that ordinary people can impact.

Ali Al-Bahry - Physiotherapist, GCMHP

A graduate of Belgrade University in 1985, Ali Bahri became the first physiotherapist in Gaza Strip. Working 16 years in this field, six of them with the GCMHP, Ali's knowledge and long experience help hundreds of patients throughout Gaza deal with post traumatic stress syndrome, a very real consequence of daily life in the region.
