Mission

We seek to improve health, sanitation and living conditions by increasing access to amanzi (water) within the local Grahamstown township community. We provide sufficient clean amanzi through the establishment of rainwater tanks in neutral areas within the vicinity of the township. We recognize the importance of distributing basic needs, specifically water, equally within society and iowering community members with the knowledge of how to sustain and efficiently make use of amanzi.

Programs

The project aids communities in maintaining sustainable vegetable gardens and prevents the closure of a number of schools by fundraising to place rainwater tanks in areas that do not have access to clean and safe water. Furthermore, through our environmental awareness programs, we highlight the “scarcity” of water and thus the need and strategies in preserve the resource.
