By Gail Schumann | When I whine
On a bus was a lovely girl with golden hair. I envied her...she seemed so bright..I wished I were so fair. Suddenly she rose to leave, I saw her hobble down the aisle, she had one leg and wore a crutch. But as she passed..a smile. (I have two legs and the world is mine. Forgive me when I whine........)
I stopped to buy some candy. The boy who sold it had charm and I talked with him. He seemed so glad. He said to me, "I thank you, you have been most kind. It's nice to talk with folks like you. You see, he said, I am blind." (I have two eyes and the world is mine. Forgive me when I whine.)
Later, walking down the street I saw a child with eyes of blue. He stood and atched the others play. He did not know what to do. I stopped a moment and said "why don't you join the otherS?" He looked ahEad without a word, and then I knew he couldn't hear. (I have two ears. Forgive me when I whine.)
With feet to take me where I'd go and eyes to see the sunse's glow, with ears to hear what I would know-I am blessed. The world is mine. (Forgive me when I whine.)
There's no real hapiness in "getting and keeping" only in giving........and that is what Personal Ponies is all about.
The rest is up to each one of us-OUR LIFE.....OUR SHOW.............
