Old age home for 300 abandoned elderly women

We would like to express gratitude to all our friends and donors on behalf of the 400  elderly abandoned mothers at Maitri ashram (old age home) for keeping them in your heart and mind. Your generous support and donation means giving food, clothing and facilitation of healthcare to the mothers in their sunset years every single day. They live healthy, engaging in yoga and outdoor sports for not only their physical health but also mental health. The mothers are grateful that they are able to go on excursions, making friends, sharing their stories and experience visiting new places. All this is made possible by YOU, the donor.

Renu Ma, is going to celebrate her 106th birthday on 1st January 2024. She wants all friends of Maitri to know that she is grateful to all for being there for her and all her fellow sisters living in the ashram and outside, and showering blessings on all of you and your families. A spirited mother with zest for life, she does not live in the past despite the challenges life's journey made her go through. She has become frail in health, yet lives fiercely independant, taking care of her daily chores. She tells all who ask her the secret to her long and healthy life, it is to  is not to wallow in self pity, live in the past, keep living every minute with a smile. and be full of gratitide always. 

We shall be celebrating Renu Ma's 106th birthday on 1st January with joy, kirtan, indian sweets and 106 balloons. Her desire is our command @ Maitri. She wants balloons everywhere, they shall be. Its an event, which does not come in every persons life. We shall all celebrate in form and spirit "her spirit of joy".
