Project Personnel

Peter Spradbrow - RPC Founding member, technical adviser

My career was devoted to teaching and research in veterinary virology. I have a special interest in Newcastle disease and development of vaccines suitable for use in rural chickens in developing countries. I have a wide experience working for national and international organizations in Asia and Africa. Scientific awards include Laureate of Technical Museum of Innovation.

Robyn Alders - RPC Founding Member, technical adviser

I graduated as a Veterinary Scientist and went on to undertake post-graduate studies in veterinary immunology. Since 1989 I have worked in several African countries promoting improved livestock production for the benefit of rural families. I have witnessed first hand the positive impact of improved village poultry production on the lives of poor families, especially women and children.

Celia Grenning - RPC Coordinator

I have been working on development projects for 11 years now, first with the Australian Government and now with a private company. For me, working as a volunteer with the Rural Poultry Centre, Kyeema Foundation has been the first step to repaying the wonderful experiences I have had through working in development. There is no greater satisfaction than being able to help rural women and children.
