LRBT Lar (Multan) Hospital provides free eye care services to over 13 million people living in its proximity. More than 2/3rds of the population here lives around poverty line, barely subsisting, with no money to pay for their health care needs. A major health issue here is Blindness which makes the afflicted person dependant and a burden on their family. Direct Beneficiaries for year 2009-10 are 110,000 patients and expected number of eye surgeries for the year are 16,000.
Detailed Examination (OPD) of patients Provision of diagnostic & curative service to Blind/Visually Impaired including surgeries for Cataract, Glaucoma, Diabetic, retinopathy, Trachoma, Trauma, Lachrymal surgery, Squint surgery
The project will serve a population of 13 million providing free examination, sight restoring surgeries & medication to the poor blind/ visually impaired people, thus turning them into productive members of the society
