The team here at the Julie Foudy Leadership Foundation is excited to get started with our 2011 fundraising campaign. With the official “kick off” of this year’s scholarship program for military daughters, we’d like to bring you up-to-date on our success so far, as well as our goals for this year.
As we reported in our 2010 program update, the Foundation was able to share the Julie Foudy Sports Leadership Academy (the "JFSLA") experience with 10 military daughters from all over the country. The feedback we continue to receive from these girls is remarkable and has inspired us to work even harder! Below is just one example of how your continued support is changing lives.
This camp has influenced my life by helping me realize that there is nothing stopping me from reaching my dreams but my own doubts, and that if I work hard enough, I can achieve anything.
Our goal for 2011 is to double the number of military daughters on full scholarship at this summer's JFSLA sessions. As we enter our first phase of fundraising efforts, we hope that you will continue to support the Foundation’s mission. While we know how fortunate we are to have a strong team of supporters in our corner, we are even more determined than ever to expand our outreach further.
As always, we are very grateful for your consideration, generosity and continued support.
