There are over 2 million Syrian refugees who have fled the unrest in Syria seeking refuge in neighboring countries. With the refugee population growing by the thousands daily, the region is in a state of humanitarian crisis. Relief International is providing life-saving relief to families in Jordan and Lebanon by distributing hygiene kits and providing water and sanitation services. In the Za'atari Refugee Camp, Jordan, RI is providing education and tutoring services for over 5000 children.
Families have fled their homes with few belongings. Many are scattered across the region living in camps and host communities where most live in abandoned buildings, tents, and other vulnerable places exposed to harsh weather conditions and limited access to even basic goods and services. Furthermore, many children are out of school due to displacement and are in need of support to cope with trauma.
Relief International is providing life-saving relief to assist refugees living in camps and host communities. In Jordan and Lebanon, RI is distributing hygiene kits that include soap, toothbrushes, sanitary pads (for women), and other basic supplies; providing water, cleaning kits, water purification supplies, and hygiene awareness education to improve the health of vulnerable families. In the Za'atari Camp, Jordan, RI is providing education and tutoring services for over 5000 children.
