Summary
This project provides a medical home for 1,500 high-risk pregnant women and 4,000 children in Nicaragua annually.
What is the issue, problem, or challenge?
We seek to bring high-quality healthcare along with nutrition and health education to families in need in the department of Boaco, Nicaragua. Through compassionate clinical care and education we can change the lives of young women, girls and families in this very needy region of the world while providing a model for others seeking progressive approaches to whole health practices.
How will this project solve this problem?
We are building an environmentally sustainable health clinic that functions as a center of community while providing clinical care, education and opportunity to women and children in need.
Potential Long Term Impact
The project will provide whole health care and education in an environmentally sustainable environment to 1,500 high-risk pregnanct women and 4,000 children annually.
