UN reports confirm that 25% all of the schools in Haiti were destroyed and all western Port-au-Prince have been destroyed – leaving hundreds of thousands of children without access to education in a country where 47% of the population are illiterate.
Through partners NDI and EDC, radios will be distributed to provide access to basic education including to orphans. Math, Creole and vital life skills will be broadcasted along with programmes on post-trauma for quake survivors.
Total Funding Received to Date: $810
