In addition to the 250+ new therapists who volunteered to see a current or former foster youth in 2011, we also recruited 12 new Clinical Directors to start Local Chapters in these communities:
Charlotte, NC - Fairfield Co., CT - Long Beach, CA - Milwaukee, WI - Napa, CA - Oshkosh, WI - Princeton, NJ - Santa Clara Co, CA - Solano County, CA - Sonoma Co., CA - Tuscon, AZ - Washington, DC
These new Clinical Directors have just returned home after beginning their three-year Clinical Director Fellowships at our Annual Professional Meeting in San Francisco. During this yearly event, they learned about the national organization and how to run a chapter, and networked with more experienced Clinical Directors in their second and third years of managing Local Chapters.
With 12 new chapters established in 2012, A Home Within is now operating 55 Local Chapters in 22 states. Your contributions through Global Giving provided the resources we need to keep recruiting therapists, expanding to serve new areas, and improving on the services we provide. Thanks to donors like you, we're building on the success of our best year to date in 2011 and confident we'll report another record year at the end of 2012.
