Eighteen girls participated in Secondary Exam

By Krit Sharma | Project Leader

Dear supporters, we would like to share the great joy with you that eighteen of our girls participated in the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) last week. SEE examination is a final examination in the secondary school system of Nepal which is being taken by National Examination Board. The examination is very important because grades obtained in the examination determines what faculty is allowed to study further. All other girls have also participated in the final examination of the year. Results of the examinations will be out by end of the July.

Currently, there are eighty-two girls in the education scheme, and some new girls will be joining the scheme as well as some will be leaving. Over the next month, we will make sure that every girl will be equipped with a new set of study materials and the new comers will also get a bicycle.

Some of you may know Jill Jerram because she had been supporting the girl’s education project ever since we started. In co-operation with Jill’s family, we are organizing a memory walk to remember her on Saturday the 27th of April 2024. We have planned to start the walk at the London Eye at 11:30am and, ends at her new tree that has been planted and dedicated to memory of Jill in Southwark Park at 13:30pm. We will walk along the River Thames Path and after the walk, we will head to a local pub called ‘The Ship” for a drink and sandwiches to remember and celebrate her amazing generosity. You can join us at any time anywhere along the route or even at the park or at the pub. Please do consider to sponsor the walk by making a donation in memory of Jill. Thank you for your generosity in advance.
