Bisi Adeleye-Fayemi - Executive Director

As co-founder/Executive Director of the AWDF, Bisi is returning her extensive fundraising, leadership training and organizational development experience to the women of Africa. She was Director of Akina Mama wa Afrika, a development organization for African women; helped develop the African Women's Leadership Institute which has trained 600 African women; and speaks at conferences worldwide.

Abigail Burgesson - Program Officer

Abigail joined AWDF from the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs - Ghana to oversee its regional organizations and the Small Grants Program. With an MA in International Relations and training in International Negotiations, Abigail has focused her extensive experience on getting women's groups and organizations recognized and involved in policy making.

Hajia Amina Adam - Executive Director

Hajia Amina Adam is a human rights activist. She has organized efforts to publicize the plight of the women confined to the Gambaga. As Executive Director of Timari-Tama, she has brought this issue to national attention, and has raised funds for the rehabilitation of the women. She is an alumna of John Abbott College in Montreal and of the Akina Mama Wa Africa's Leadership Training Program.
