Food insecurity is a big problem for most Zimbabweans, but it affects orphans even more. In the near past, the current government did not allow the import or distribution of food to Zimbabweans, while at the same time curtailing the provision of fertilizers for many years, effectively ruining crops and the supply of food. 400 orphan families will benefit from this project.
Each orphan family will receive nutritious food, giving them strength to be trained so they can engage in a viable sustainable livelihood activity - growing food and raising animals to replace food distribution with sustainable livelihood.
Total Funding Received to Date: $4,505
Remaining Goal to be Funded: $31,495
Total Funding Goal: $36,000
This project has provided additional documentation in a PDF file (projdoc.pdf).
400 children and adults receive food and life-saving skills. This, in turn, will arrest the vicious cycle of hunger and food distribution year after year.
Thank you so much for partnering with us in this life-skills/feeding program! We look forward to seeing many orphan families suceed and move forward to help themselves. This is truly life giving!
