Support Floods 2012 in Jacobabad & Dadu Pakistan

Summary

The project aims to support Flood Victims 2012 in Jacobabad & Dadu, In Jacobabad & Dadu about 1,200,000 populations affected and 360,000 peoples have been accommodated in various places through establishing camps within the district. Visiting various camps affected communities shared that from very 1st day till now we haven't received any assistance from anywhere. Even we haven't given food for our children and women. Their is urgent need to support Flood Victims 2012

What is the issue, problem, or challenge?

Floods hit hard to Jacobabad & Dadu districts in Sept 2012 and affected large no. of families, waiting response, thousands of villages submerged in flood water, waiting for food, shelter and safe drinking water. the flood water standing in their villages, houses and they lost crops, animals and all they have. waiting humanitarian response

How will this project solve this problem?

Urgent Needs for the Flood affected families - Food Assistance - Drinking Water - Shelter and NFIs - Arrange Medical camps - Hygiene Kits - Mosquitoes Net - Winterization kits (because 6 months can be spend to flood water recites and from November winter will be faced by the IDP families - Emergency Latrines - Fodder for their livestock - Livestock vaccination of flood affected

Potential Long Term Impact

Flood victims will be provided push up support that they should have been able to return to their homes, the food support for 15 to 30 days help them to live respectfully till flood water goes down

Since very 1st day till now we haven't received any assistance from anywhere. Even we haven't given food for our children and women, we looking support for food and medicine urgently
