Dear Friends,
Today I would like to share the story of Nagamma - a fortunate disabled girl who owns her small business through which she can earn her livelihood. I am calling her fortunate, as hundreds of millions of women suffer with hunger and malnutrition in India- the obvious reason-immense lack of livelihood opportunities. Like thousands of disable girls, Nagamma was thrown out of her house due to her disability
Mr. Sunil Panjwani, Cardellia Le and one other person have made it possible for Nagamma to become entrepreneur by taking up small and manageable income generating activities that enables her to become financially self-sustainable for the rest of her life.
Today Nagamma beams with happiness as she has a source of income in her hands, and like her Savitriba sells steel households through streets. She visits different slums/villages every alternative day. She spends most of her man hours moving from place to place. She do not have a permanent place for her business. She wants to set up her own shop on rented basis so that she can save her time. Can you help here realise her dream of setting up a shop?
Thank you.
With gratitude,
