Pet A Medic is introducing a Grief Counseling program. Research is clear that pets function as true companions to their owners. Pets help lengthen the lives of their owners. Pet owners are truly attached to their animals. Loss of a pet, after the death of a spouse, can cause serious depression. Veterinarians and their staff, are in a unique position to recognize this, and refer their client to us; confident that our trained professionals will provide peace of mind and healing for their client.
Pet A Medic provides the following services: A 24/7 toll free number, that pet owners can call, if their animal needs emergency care or transportation. Grief Counseling: We have trained professionals and volunteers who provide grief therapy to those who have lost, or who are faced with losing a companion animal. Grief Educations: Pet A Medic will provide support and education to veterinarians and their staff re:our services, and the importance of follow up grief counseling and support.
