Eliminating Violence Against Women and Children

Dear Friend,

It's been 3 months of 2024 and we are already doing so much to end violence against women and girls. And there is so much more to come! Every year, we join the international 16 day campaign to Eliminating Violence Against Women and Girls and we engage thousands of people, online and offline!

We are already preparing for that. But so far, our center has stayed open to provide counseling to more than 30 women and girls who have come seeking support, many of them in cases of abuse. We have provided the appropriate emotional support and referrals to legal or medical aid when necessary. 

Through our Positive Parenting program, our Men’s Coffee Talk engaged 12 fathers to be regularly involved in the project and talk about gender-based violence and how to prevent women and girls from being victimized. It is great to see more men involved in the cause. 

This is not all. Our Safer Cities for Girls projects has engaged hundreds of school boys as well, and plenty of them are now ambassadors of the program, advocating for girls' rights!

 Boys and girls have come together before government representatives and raised their voices, requesting their safety needs met. Luckily, Government authorities have been receptive to the message.

Our International Women's Day event involved more than 300 people, including men, women, boys, girls, government authorities, police officials, all joining and collaborating to create better services for women and girls.

We won't give up all are safe.
