Pardada Pardadi Educational Society provides free education and vocational training to 1000 rural village girls in Anupshahar, Uttar Pradesh, India. Its mission is to create a generation of self-reliant and economically independent girls who will break the cycle of poverty in the region. By depositing 10 rupees in a girl’s account for every day she attends school, Pardada Pardadi ensures she graduates with the education, the power, and the means she needs to transform her life.
Toilet Project: Few students have toilets, relying instead on the unsanitary practice of open defecation. We build toilets for them, bringing dignity and sanitation that the whole village notices. http://www.education4change.org/Extra/toilet.html Rags to Pads: Many women use and reuse old rags during menstruation, an unsafe practice that can lead to infection. We’ve raised money to manufacture and market safe and affordable sanitary napkins. http://www.education4change.org/Extra/rags.html
