Consequently, female drop out syndrome, teenage pregnancy, early marriage and economic dependency are rampart. The security climate and wide-spread poverty in the country makes it additionally difficult for parents to prioritize the education of girls. This project seek to sponsor the education of 20 girls who are at-risk of dropping out.

Solution

This project provides some scholarship fund and school supplies like; School uniforms, Bags, Books, Mathsets, Shoes, Socks and Sanitary pads to 20 girls who are at risk of dropping out from school. Mentors will be assigned to provide guidance and monitor the academic success of each girl. Parent's awareness on the significance of sending girls to school will be enhanced. Community members and relevant stakeholders will be mobilized and encourage to support and advocate on behalf of girls.

Long-Term Impact

The positive outcome of this project will be that 20 at-risk girls, stay and succeed in school and beyond. Girls who are beneficiaries of the project will be educationally and psychologically empowered; they will be better positioned to serve as role models to other girls in their communities. Girls, parents and the community awareness on female education will be enhanced and great participation on girls right's advocacy will be increased. The literacy rate among women will be increased.
