Working with local grassroots charities and NGOs in over 30 countries across the globe, the Global Vision International (GVI) Charitable Trust manages and fundraises for numerous long-term programs. These further the works of GVI and their partners and aim to alleviate poverty, illiteracy, environmental degradation and climate change through: education; nutrition; conservation and capacity building.

Doreen Cabrera - Project Director in Guatemala for GVI
After a couple of years working in Guatemala City, Doreen decided to set up projects with Global Vision International “to help my country, people and its visitors. Guatemala has everything, and we want to share it with the world.” She has worked with the Indigenous populations since 2001 and has an in-depth knowledge of the cross-cultural issues facing Guatemala and the rest of Latin America.
Elena Siquinajay de Suy - Local Indigenous Leader
Elena is the back-bone and soul and of the Itzapa project. Mother of six children, although she claims to be “mother” of the community, Elena has welcomed the programme with all her efforts, striving for the best for her companions and the children. Besides being a member of various social groups, she is also President of the Mujeres para Amor a la Vida.
Andy Woods-Ballard - Director of Operations
Andy is an international environmental and development project director with experience in the leadership and training of staff across Africa and Latin America, working with governmental, non-governmental and voluntary organizations, Universities and international conservation organizations. Andy now runs the GVI-CT in the UK and aids with fundraising and management for projects internationally.
