K.I.D.S./Fashion Delivers Makes a Real Difference

By Moufida Chaoui | Development Associate

Every donation allows K.I.D.S./Fashion Delivers to provide brand new, basic essentials like clothing, shoes, educational materials, and toys to some of the neediest children in the nation

Thanks to your support, we are able to continue providing our partners with the necessary items they require to serve their neediest clients.

We recently received this wonderful feedback from our community partner, Gaudenzia, Inc. In Norrisville, PA, an organization that helps people affected by chemical dependency, mental illness and related conditions. They serve 18,000 individuals annually through 141 treatment programs throughout Pennsylvania, Maryland and Delaware. Toys are especially welcome for the children who are well too aware of the issues that their parents face. "We love the toys that we get from K.I.D.S./Fashion Delivers. Craft toys (like the mosaic kits from The Orb Factory) allow children to show off and take pride in their creativity," says Joan Brown, Director of Programs.

K.I.D.S./Fashion Delivers was able to truly make a difference in the lives of the children served by Gaudenzia. By enabling disadvantaged children to creatively express themselves, we help improve their psychological state and prepare them for a positive future.

K.I.D.S./Fashion Delivers also received feedback from our community partner, Hands in Service in Sellersville, PA, an organization whose mission, much like ours, is to improve the basic living conditions of some of the poorest communities, locally and worldwide, and share hope.

Ed Tornetta, President of Hands in Service shared with us this testimonial:

"I wanted to share this picture and story of a young lady who happened to be at a pregnancy center in Coatesville, PA yesterday while we were delivering diapers and other TRU/BRU donations. While we were making our delivery to the center this young lady stated her 7 week old baby did not have a crib to sleep in and asked the center if they had one. The center did not have a crib, but we had one already assembled on the back of our delivery truck. We mentioned to the staff that we had a crib on the truck, they spoke with the young lady and we delivered the new crib that was donated through TRU/BRU to her apartment. She also received diapers and a Boppy support pillow as seen in the pictures below. When she saw the crib she had tears of joy in her eyes."

Thanks to the generosity of donors like you, we have been able to make a real difference in the lives of those less fortunate. Working with over 900 community partners nationwide, we are able to deliver brand new items to disadvantaged children and families when and where they need them.

K.I.D.S./Fashion Delivers is committed to improving the well-being, self-esteem and dignity of at-risk children, families, and individuals.

Our goal is to raise $25,000, which will provide $250,000 worth of brand new merchandise like clothes, shoes, books, educational materials, juvenile products, toys and more to disadvantaged children and families who are in need of the basics.

Please help us continue our mission by donating now.

Thank you again for your valuable support.
