Access to safe water in Cambodia is a major challenge for the majority of the population. According to UN and UNICEF data, 72% of households in Cambodia lack access to a safely managed water supply. The situation in schools is also serious, with 22% of schools having no water service and 37% lacking access to sanitation of any kind.
Planet Water Foundation continues our work in Cambodia. To date we have deployed over 400 clean water projects, providing access to clean, safe water to over 580,000 people.
As of April, we have identified potential sites for this project and are looking forward to making an impact once sufficient funds have been raised to cover the costs of the project.
