From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank you for being an angel to our organization! This year we have 4 Early Childhood/Preschool classrooms and 2 daycare classrooms. We can now accomodate up to 20 babies. Thanks to your thoughtfulness, we are able to give our teachers a cost-of-living pay increase starting January 2024 and Centro Infantil de los Angeles' Early Childhood center is able to continue operations until the end of our 2023- 2024 school year in July.
We have a few children with special needs and we are so happy that we can help families pay for the special therapy these children need. One 3 year old girl has Autism. As you can imagine, it is a challenge for the family and classroom teacher to keep this little girl engaged and focused. She is given some freedom to move around the classroom, more than the other children, and also receives therapy. Our staff and this girl's family are learning valuable coping mechanisms for themselves and tools to help this little girl and her classmates learn, grow and thrive together.
You made a difference! You helped us reach children from economically disadvantaged homes, some of whom have learning disabilities. Giving these children an early start on education is a tremendous benefit to their future. You helped me, too. Look at the picture of the heart warming hugs these little ones gave me during my volunteer visit in November. You could receive hugs too by being a volunteer!
Our goal for this project is to raise $50,000 per year to cover costs of teacher salaries, utilities, curriculum, supplies and nutritious snacks. We are only $3,756. short of our goal for this school year. Please consider an extra donation to help us fully meet this goal, so we can look forward to continuing to provide services to our families in the 2024-2025 school year.
