The following major tasks were set for Phase One of our Technology project:

- Form partnerships with local organizations that have a track record in delivering ICT to rural schools
1. Site assessment by Inveneo in-country partner
Just In Time Solutions Limited (Inveneo's in country partner) visted Rimbi village to conduct a site assesment.
2. Form partnerships with local organizations
We are pleased to announce that we have formed a partnership with Computers for Zimbabwean Schools (CZwS) which has been working in ICT in Education since 1999 through the Ministry of Education and World Links Zimbabwe . The mission of CZwS is to transform IT education in Zimbabwe by providing schools with affordable computers and associated software, training support and connectivity. In 2010 CZwS distributed over 3 000 computers to over 250 schools and set up an Teacher Training Room in Harare to deal with the Training Needs.
The following was agreed on in the MOU:
Computers for Zimbabwean Schools (CzWS) is a private organization that helps schools to transform and position themselves to offering 21st century education. The focus of CzWS is on assisting educators challenge the type of education and the way that education is delivered. As an Intel® Education Partner, CzWS provides ICT solutions that are child-safe and affordable. In 2010 CzWS distributed over 3 000 computers to over 250 schools and set up a Teacher Training Room in Harare to deal with the Training Needs.
Together, the Parties entered into the Memorandum of Understanding to mutually deliver ICT solutions to rural high schools in Zimbabwe. Accordingly, the Tekeshe Foundation and the Computers for Zimbabwean Schools (CzWS), operating under the MOU agree as follows
The organizations agree to the following tasks for the MOU:
The Tekeshe Foundation will:
- Provide and Install network equipment
- Provide and Install computers and software
- Provide technical support
- The Tekeshe Foundation through its collaboration with the schools, stake holders and donors will provide ICT and site equipment
- Pay for internet usage and electricity
- Provide ICT site coordinators
Computers for Zimbabwean Schools Corporation (CzWS) will:
- Train high school teachers
- Train ICT site coordinators
- Integrate ICT as a subject into the high school curricula
- Provide ICT curricula materials
The Tekeshe Foundation and Computers for Zimbabwean Schools Corporation will:
- Work jointly to advertise the project through workshops, web sites, brochures, flyers etc
