High-Quality Education for 10,000+ Tanzanian Kids

Dear AfricAid Supporters,

Thank you for all that you have done to support teacher training in Tanzania through the Teaching in Action workshop, which brings together teachers from across the country to learn student-centered, participatory teaching techniques!

Currently, the faculty at Mwenge University College of Education (MWUCE -- http://www.mwuce.com/) are preparing for the 2011 Teaching in Action teacher training workshop. They are creating workshop schedules, preparing to send invitations to secondary schools across the country, and recruiting faculty to teach and evaluate the workshop.

We are hoping that you will join with us in order to make the Teaching in Action workshop possible this year. With your support, we can bring over 60 teachers to the MWUCE campus for intensive learning and hands-on experience in student-centered teaching and learning. These teachers will, in turn, improve education for thousands of students across the country, whose educational and professional futures depend on the quality of instruction they receive while in the classroom.
