Thanks to all of you, we have reached our immediate goal and have earned a permanent spot on the Global Giving website!
In exactly one month from today, on January 20th, Adam, Sari and Nuria will meet Tom, Moriah and Amalia in Livingstone, Zambia to begin the water services improvement program and fieldwork for Adam's PhD from Ben Gurion University of the Negev. We will spend most of the next two years in Simango, which is about 2 hours north of Livingstone.
We are also thankful for the other forms of support we have received so far:
- We have received donations from Netafim (an Israeli irrigation company) and Zeraim Gedera (an Israeli seed company) towards the irrigation component of this project.
- The local church in Simango has contributed hours and hours of work in preparing a guest home for us (see attached photos).
- AABGU has been a tremendous help in supporting and promoting this project.
Thank you to everyone who has contributed in so many ways. As we continue to raise funds to meet our goal of $50,000, keep spreading the word. Every dollar counts and will allow us to offer more options to more people.
We look forward to keeping you updated as we move forward with the community of Simango.
Thanks for joining us!
Adam, Sari, Nuria, Tom, Amalia and Moriah and AABGU
Project Reports on GlobalGiving are posted directly to globalgiving.org by Project Leaders as they are completed, generally every 3-4 months. To protect the integrity of these documents, GlobalGiving does not alter them; therefore you may find some language or formatting issues.
If you donate to this project or have donated to this project, you will get an e-mail when this project posts a report. You can also subscribe for reports via e-mail without donating or by subscribing to this project's RSS feed.
Combined with other sources of funding, this project raised enough money to fund the outlined activities and is no longer accepting donations.
