LRBT (Layton Rahmatulla Benevolent Trust) is pleased to present this project report for our initiative aimed at restoring eyesight to 1500 underprivileged women in Pakistan. This project is a testament to LRBT's commitment to providing essential eye care services to those in need, particularly women living below the poverty line. Through our efforts, we strive to promote inclusivity and empower individuals towards an independent future.

Meet Sadozai, a resilient woman from Quetta, Balochistan, who embodies the spirit of hope and perseverance. Residing with her husband and youngest son on their employer’s property, Sadozai's life was a constant struggle with limited resources. With just Rs. 8000 (28 USD) to manage each month, she went above and beyond to ensure her son had all he required, even at the expense of her own well-being.

Unbeknownst to her family, Sadozai was quietly battling rapid loss of vision. Despite her own challenges, she selflessly cared for her loved ones, slipping her meals to her son to prevent him from going hungry. However, all hope was not lost as her son, realizing her plight, sought help from a friend, who directed him to LRBT.

With the support of her family, Sadozai made her way to the LRBT hospital in Quetta. Overwhelmed by the cleanliness and kindness she encountered, she underwent a successful cataract surgery, thanks to LRBT's skilled medical team. With restored vision, Sadozai found a new lease on life.

Sadozai's transformation is just one example of LRBT's impact on the lives of underprivileged women in Pakistan. Each year, LRBT restores the eyesight of 1.5 million women living below the poverty line, enabling them to lead independent and fulfilling lives. Through comprehensive eye care services, including screenings, surgeries, and post-operative care, LRBT ensures that no one is deprived of the gift of sight due to financial constraints.

Inspired by her son's resolve and her own newfound vision, Sadozai embarked on a journey of empowerment. Along with other women in her neighborhood, she utilizes her skills to create intricate designs for textiles, generating income to improve her family's savings. Her craftsmanship not only sustains her family but also brings pride and recognition to her community.

Sadozai's expression of gratitude towards LRBT is a testament to the life-changing impact of our work. By restoring her sight, LRBT has not only transformed Sadozai's life but also empowered her to contribute positively to society.

In conclusion, LRBT remains dedicated to its mission of restoring eyesight and transforming lives. The project to restore eyesight to 1500 poor women in Pakistan is a testament to our commitment to inclusivity and empowerment. Sadozai's story serves as an inspiration, highlighting the profound impact of LRBT's work on individuals and communities.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to GlobalGiving and all our donors for their generous support, which enables us to continue our mission and change lives for the better.
