Forty Women in Bunlun a deprived village in the poorest area of Ghana. These women will receive training in organic farming skills to end the cycle of Poverty they are currently trapped in.
The women currently have no work or skill and are reliant entirely on their husband and therefore have no power over their own lives. A woman rarely gets a say in any decisions for example how many children she wants to have. Their survival is dependent on their husband. The project therefore aims to create hope for them by empowering them economically to end the cycle of terrible gender inequality. By contributing funds into the community their role in the community will be transformed.
-Provide different vegetables seeds for the farms. -equipment for farmers Provide -Offer practical training in organic farming skills for forty women. -buy the women land to farm on -community empowerment workshops for the women women.
The current situation of the women is a cycle of poverty and powerlessness. The economic empowerment will mean not only the women will have food,but also change their position in the comunity and be afford healthcare and their childrens school fees
