This project aims at improving the lives of old caregivers, orphans, vulnerable children and people bed ridden with AIDS in TransNzoia district, Rift Valley Province - Kenya.
We need funds to enable old carers to provide food, medication and education to orphans, vulnerable children and people living with HIV/AIDS. We also want to empower guardians of orphans and vulnerable children to set up income generating projects within their community.
Project activities will include purchase of dairy goats, education and medical support for orphans, setting of income generating activities for old carers and other guardians. Will also involve provision of nursing care for bed ridden AIDS clients.
This project will improve food security for orphans, promote school completion for orphans, reduce deaths among HIV positive orphans, strengthen capacity of older carers to provide for orphans and prolong life for people living with HIV/AIDS.
