The project provides shelter for 65children (1-6years)while the mother’s battle for meager income to sustain the children by constructing a shelter resourced with early childhood development materials
The Ahado Market Community in Hohoe, Ghana has no early childhood development center for children. The community is noted for very poor academic performance and street children. With Together Ghana’s support a temporary shed has been put in place and resourced with 3 teachers who care for the 65 children. The current structure available for the children is at the verge of collapse and therefore needs your urgent support whilst their mothers concentrate to battle for meager income
The shelter will provide congenial and safe learning environment for the children which will enhance child development. The project will also aid the poor mothers’ battle for income while they keep their children at the center
65 children are expected to be the immediate beneficiaries of the project. Moreover, the project will continue to benefit other vulnerable children from poor families in the community and will enhance academic performance of the children
