Share & SaveMore Information About this ProjectProject Needs and BeneficiariesSudan’s ongoing civil wars have chased 2 million people from Darfur and the south to Khartoum, the capital, where they struggle to survive in informal settlements with no access to public services. In Dar al-Salaam al-Rabwa, 40 kilometers from Khartoum, 35,000 residents suffer cholera, diarrhea and other diseases from insufficient clean water. Only one of five water stations is operational, and the entire community relies on unsanitary water deliveries by donkey cart.
