More Information About this ProjectProject Needs and BeneficiariesOver 10 years ago, Rwanda experienced a genocidal conflict followed by decades of ethnic strife. Since that time, Rwanda has started working to rebuild its economic and social infrastructure. However, the impact from the genocide left a majority of the population struggling for even the most basic necessities. Through education, community participation and health awareness, these women will be able to provide for themselves and their families. ActivitiesWomen for Women International have provided malaria prevention training, job skills trainings which include basket weaving, bead work, knitting, tie-dye, tailoring, beekeeping, mushroom-growing, catering, and food processing.
