More Information About this Project

Project Needs and Beneficiaries

Thailand is filled with social dilemma as a result of modernization and industrialization. Family break-ups cause abandonment and delinquency in children. With regards to children and youth, Prevention is better than Cure, so it is vital that preventive work be done to build their self-esteem and educate them in making right choices. “For 14 years, I have seen how this project has helped my clients via the training and increase in their self-esteem,” says veteran social-worker, Sopa Suwannawong.

Activities

By training 140 volunteers, they will impact 2,300 children and youths, and at the same time mould 250 young leaders. A volunteer, Uraiwan says, “Were it not for the trained young leaders, I would not be able to handle 200 young people all by myself”

Project Message

A truly amazing program! My youths have greatly matured and are a great help to me, especially after the leadership camps. Many have left school but are back as volunteers helping in one way or other
