Nearly 40 years of civil war... at least 2 million lives lost... 4 million uprooted from their homes... over 700,000 in refugee camps. Women for Women International is providing a powerful opportunity for peace, stability and growth to women who have only known violence. Our program focuses on the most disenfranchised women and provides a one-year program of direct aid, rights education and job-skills training. Activities2000 women will receive rights-awareness education, on such subjects as reproductive health, disease treatment and prevention, the role of women after war and the importance of treating sons and daughters with equality.
