Rescue Junction our unique center for missing lost homeless and trafficked children in Gaya in India deals with many serious issues but alongside the healing and the safety of the center- Joy and happiness should be part of the mix. Please help us to provide a dance teacher and equipment for the center because as you can see these kids love to dance! We thank recent volunteers and the children for giving their permission for us to use their images for the purposes of this video.
Help us put more smiles on the faces of these children who have had such hard lives and who deserve a little happiness in their lives.Street Children often suffer from low self esteem and dance can play an important part in helping to develop both individual and teamwork skills. For 1000 dollars we can provide a dance teacher for a whole year at the center and buy all the equipment we need. You can see the full length video here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5rgE3LSgm3Q&feature=youtu.be.
We have seen great changes in the kids that come to Rescue Junction with huge improvements in their confidence and self esteem. This programme can only help this process, helping the children to become creative and letting them be children and young people for the first time in their lives. There is also an element of discipline ( for want of a better word) in dance that will help their ability to focus their minds and concentration which they can apply positively in other areas of their lives.
It is the aim of the trust to engage with the police, railway authorities, the judicial system and local government in helping to provide a child safety network in the district. This has the potential to help thousands of kids.
