Globalgiving donors facilitated setting up of a computer and Internet training centre in Uganda, 45 youth have already registered for the the course at the Mountains of Hope, the trainer has been recruited. Over 50 are most likely to register next term. This microproject will pay for a trainer facilitation for one year so that youth do not miss any lecture.The youth will be enabled to gain the 21st century skills
The computer training center has picked up and has been welcomed, unfortunately the youth can not contribute enough funds to pay for a trainer for a full year, we asked them to make a little contribution which enables us to pay for electricity and rental fee leaving nothing for atrainer.
Internet and computer training will enable the youth to get jobs in future and majority will be able to create their own employment, some of them will be retained at the training center to train others.
The project has also been embraced by the Mpigi district NGO forum, different organizations are mobilizing youth to benefit from this service.
