Sahr, Ibrahim, Alhassan, Sulay and Alusine are 5 youths in Waterloo that have a strong desire to launch a farm growing Cassava, Potatoes and Groundnuts. They have the needed skills and access to suitable land - but do not have access to the needed funds to purchase the seedlings and cover costs related to preparing the ground, fertilizers, watering and nurturing of the plants till harvest. This project will address the opportunity gap by providing the needed funds for this worthy cause.
This project will solve the funding start up problem - providing the needed start-up funds for 5 youths, to launch a farm. Project will help them put their good intentions into gear and achieve their dreams. Waterloo is an ideal location for an agricultural farm and they have the needed experience to start and manage a farm. Food production is strongly encouraged by the government. There is a strong local demand for food and this project will help meet this need.
Project will give Sahr, Ibrahim, Alhassan, Sulay and Alusine a launch boost by funding the purchase of seeds / seedlings, planting and nurturing through harvest. They will now be able to put their dream in motion. The funds will cover all expenses involved from clearing of the ground to harvesting. The support will enable the farm to exist and the crop to grow through harvest time. Without this support, they will not be able to start the farm and keep it alive till harvest time.
This will help end poverty and powerlessness in the lives of these youths. This project will give them a new boost of life. This agricultural business will contribute to food supply - meeting a vital need. Potentially, the business will grow further and they could employ many more people.
