Philip, like many prospective UoPeople students, has a desire and motivation to study towards an academic degree and improve his life, and the future of his whole community! He simply lacks the funds to turn this dream into a reality.
University of the People was created with a very clear mission: to open the gates of higher education, for ALL individuals worldwide, regardless of financial, social or geographic constraints. It is our belief that higher education is a right for all, and not a privilege for a few.
We have succeeded in cutting down almost the entire cost of higher education with our innovative online tuition-free education model. All we ask from our students are minimal Exam Processing Fees. For students unable to afford even these nominal fees, we create a variety of scholarship and donation opportunities, such as this one, to help fund their studies.
Philip has now successfully raised enough money to cover just about a fourth of his Associate Degree. It has been thanks to donors, such as you, that Philip is closer to realizing his dream of studying Computer Science and developing his community further.
Thank you for your continued support of Philip, and all UoPeople students.
