Thanks so much for supporting evacuees like Fe.
Fe is 64 years old. She lives with her daughter and grandson in the community of Banaba, just outside Manila, in the Philippines.
Their house is made from bricks but it's dangerously close to a river. Every year there are floods, and Fe’s house is often inundated. During floods Fe and her family have to spend days sleeping on the floor of an evacuation centre.
But now, because of your generosity, we’ll be able to provide hot food for Fe during evacuations. While the microproject you donated to was not fully funded, your contributions will still allow us to provide some hot meals.
These hot meals will be available when the next flood comes and forces Fe and her family to leave their home. Evacuation will never be easy for Fe, but your generosity means that Fe and her family won’t go hungry.
We’ll send you updates about how your gift is changing the lives of Fe, her family, and families like theirs right here on GlobalGiving. Should you ever have any questions about how we’re using your donation, please don’t hesitate to email Andy@IDVolunteers.org. We’d love to hear from you!
One last time, thanks so much for ensuring that Fe and her family can enjoy hot meals during floods.
