During this season, we remember with gratitude and love, all of you who have helped us walk through the year 2015. Without you, our projects could not have been successful.
Santhosh lives in Kodappu. He is studying in 11th standard now. His father is a auto rickshaw driver. His mother is a housewife. Santhosh has a brother and a sister. Their monthly income is $167 which is not sufficient to meet the needs of the five people in their family. Santhosh's father Arumugam tells about his progress after he joined our coaching class.
"My son joined the coaching class conducted by New Life in Kodappu when he was studying 7th standard. At that time Santhosh was an average student and was scoring around 55%. He likes to play cricket and kabadi. We at home used to scold him for playing and not scoring good marks. But after he joined the coaching class his performance in studies improved. He scored 85% in his 10th standard public examinations. Now he is in 11th standard. And he is working hard towards his goal of becoming an engineer. He is also participating in the school cricket and kabadi team and representing the school in competitions. Needless to say that we dont scold him now for playing", Arumugam ends with a big grin.
Coaching poor children like Santhosh is possible only with the donations you make. Yes, you help us to meet out the costs of rent, salary, etc. Kindly keep supporting this cause not only by contributing financially but also by spreading words about this project to your friends and relatives with similar mind. This will help many children like Santhosh.
