Dear Donors,
Thank you for your great support in help us coaching deprived children in India.
Due to your generous support, we could mobilise $1402.5 and this amount was used as follows:
Rent for 2 centres : $506
Honorarium to 2 Teachers : $843
Learning materials : $34
The balance $19 is kept in reserve for the upcoming month.
This is the examination time for the children. While the children studying the School Final year and the 10th standard have completed writing their exams, the other children are writing theirs. And the coaching class team is very busy. We wish all the children success.
Last year, our coaching class children did well and 99% suceeded. Abinesh scored 1081 marks in the Final school exams and Sarala scored 439 marks in 10th standard last year. This year 6 students are writing their 10th standard exams and 5 writing their school final exams. We expect our children to score a minimum of 60%. We are waiting with our fingers crossed for them to come out successfully with good scores.
Rekha is writing her 10th standard this year. Her father is a coolie and mother is a servant maid. Their total income is Rs.3500/-per month. They are leading a miserable life. But Rekha's parents are very ambitious and they want their three children to study well. Rekha's sister Renuka is in the school final and brother is in 7th standard. Their parents are less literates and hence could not help them in studying. So all the three are coming to our coaching class. Rekha tells that she worked hard and wrote her exams well. She is expecting 85% marks. We wish her a bright future.
On March 9th, the organisation celebrated the Women's Day. During the function the teachers who work hard and with commitment for the betterment of these coaching class students were honored. We are proud of you dear teachers.
