The kundan jewellery training to the mothers of child labourers was started in the month of November and is going on now.The women are being taught to make fashion jewellery that will attract the women and girls of our country. These jewels can be made to match a wide range of costumes from trendy dresses to years old traditional dresses. 5 mothers of child labour children are being trained with other women now. They can make bangles, ear-rings, bracelets, anklets, chains, necklaces, etc.
Valli, the mother of Pitchai has picked the skill quickly and started earning by selling neclaces and bangles she makes. She is earning a profit of 25% on an average. If she can excel in marketing her jewels, then we are sure that she can earn upto Rs.2400/- ($40) besides what she earns now. She is very thankful to the organisation and the donors for making this happen.
